This is what condo developers think condos will be worth in Toronto in 2025 (Price list pictures inside)

New development at 481 University Ave......Occupancy is not until 2025

Highlights TD;DR:
  • 279 sqft Studio: $489,000
  • 457 sqft 1Bedroom: $782,000
  • 605 Sqft 1Bed + Den: $1,001,900
  • 692 Sqft 2Bed: $1,101,900
  • Parking: 1 spot = $120,000 (can only be purchased if your condo price is over $1M)
  • Maintenance: "approx" $0.75/sqft...aka $1+ for a sqft

Oh ya...they also want $10,000 in 30 days :)

Cant imagine what rent will look like in 2025.

Some delusional bears on RFD still think they are going to get those 2007 prices in a year or 2 when the GTA RE market completely collapses....

Just curious what is good about this location apart from proximity to UofT? Why would anyone buy this over something like One Yonge?

Proximity to U of T, Queen's Park, and hospital row means a lot of high paying jobs,, international students, and well paid renters. It's also close to City Hall, Yonge/Dundas, and right on the subway line.

One Yonge is great too since it's close to the South Core, so it depends on what you're looking for.

692 Sqft is that considered a big condo? This is 1/3 the size of my house and its not a very big house.
I assume this is fine for a person living alone but what about families with kids? Where are they supposed to live?

People in other large cities across the globe raise families in condos of this size. Seems like Toronto is heading that way.

We are already more fortunate that with our land mass we are able to live in the suburbs with a larger house and still commute to where the jobs are, despite our poor transit system. The future downtown is not going to be for the average joe, but rather for those with money and the wealthy.
