I only got two items that I've been meaning to get for a while. I was initially tempted by some Sennheiser headphone, but ended up talking myself out of it (it wasn't super comfortable to me). Instead, I got a new lens for my camera ($199.00) and a pair of dangling earrings ($18.00). It is very tempting to buy some other items (that FOMO is real), but I remind myself I don't need to buy them right now (either I don't love them or I am not sure of). I also don't want to spend too much time in the shopping mall, I just want to get out ASAP (too many people). Neutral Face I feel that I am likely going to get rid of more items than keep them if I don't buy things I've researched for or tried on before.

Wouldn't that kind be the opposite of money saved? I mean you technically save money right now but once your property is complete you'll then buy these stuff anyways and I assume at a higher price.

To me its money saved as my place won't be done until late 2018/early 2019 (pre construction) so i don't need to spend now and can invest that money.
Hoping to pick up these items or updated revisions at discount next year black friday!

Overheard on the FM radio today - an advertisement for businesses, stating that
Canadians now have about 1.1 G$ (billion $) of disposable income (or was it "savings"?) in total
(meaning that they can spend those money :) ).

Which is pretty pathetic, as it amounts to CAD$30 per person (!) on average? Is it? Maybe the figure above is wrong?

On this background, however, RFD'rs look like very rich people :)

N.B. For comparison, South-Americans (I mean those south of the border ;) )
spent 5 G$ Black Friday and 6.6 G$ Cyber Monday, which amounts roughly to the same figure $30-40 per person...

P.S. Speaking of myself, BF/CM was pretty fruitful, got two lappys, two cellphones, CT roadside, few small trinkets,
still planning to get the FIDO $15 plan with tabby ;)
