Lots of companies that I would love to own. None at prices that I would love to pay. :(
What about Europe? I believe that it will start a gradual recovery after the German election is out of the way.

Personally I have no advantage there. But great idea for those who do!

ENF (Enbridge Income Fund) is also a great monthly dividend stock with potential for capital appreciation.

So a lot of articles are saying with the US economy recovery, to look into cyclical growth stocks. Any suggestions? I know automakers like Ford, but any other sector worth looking into?

Looking to initiate position in CAT if it drops below 80 for long-term play

Thanks. My feeling is we will see it go higher in the next 2-3 weeks. We'll see what the gold price and the miners earnings have to say.

Funny because I like gold and silver long (long) term but right now I think there is money to be made here.

I tend to agree, both short and long. And, as today showed, miners can show weakness even if gold prices remain stable.

Yup.....we will see. Goldcorp earnings tomorrow, IMG and Barrick and smaller miners to follow. I can see a lot of them hurting right now for sure. I still like gold in the long term but I am going to hang on to this for a bit.

Because of the reopening of its most valuable mine and recent ER beat, I initiated a small position in FCX today hoping for some long term appreciation. Keeping my fingers crossed though...

I buy a variety of index products. 40+ years of finance theory says we can't beat the market over the long run and that in fact we do worse.

I stray from this with personal holdings of employer stock and a specific REIT.

All companies below are already profitable and are in a growth stage and had very big quarters recently in Q1 2013. All are Canadian companies. I have more on my research list but I have positions in all of these already.

AVO - #1 on Profit100 this year and growing fast. Record quarter in Q1.
SUM - Saas Stock Administration software. Global Footprint and Niche Market.
DHX - Children Digital Media company with Global Footprint and tons of licensing revenue especially last quarter.
DSG - Logistics solutions / Saas company with strong revenue growth.
DND - Pharmaceutical company with drugs already in distribution. Canadian launch of their acne drug in Q3 this year.
Big moves recently for most including DND and SUM. AVO to follow after its earnings next week.
