Play some Xbox and ignore the silliness of "a new year" that is based on the Gregorian calendar.
It should really be on either solstice, which would make more sense.

A year away is too far to make plans. Tonight is New Year's Eve 2019, isn't it?

Staying home with the family - as always and down with the flu.
Proud to be an Indian.

Snoring.
A life spent making mistakes is not only more memorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.

new year eve in north America is the most useless holiday. boring, totally boring as compared to the party atmosphere in Asia and Brazil.
NY was relatively much more festive especially in Manhattan. Toronto seemed completely dead, most shops were not lit or decked out at all.
sometimes I get tired of our tameness

And what exactly have you done personally to help to change that?

Happy New Year and New Decade RFD. 2020 is now upon us.

Did a house party to ring in the new decade. About 20 of us at my friends house. Tons of fun - lots of whiskey, beer, wine and champagne. Home made treats too.

Year's past, I traveled to Barcelona, Cancun and New Orleans for it. They were awesome but expensive & tiring.

Maybe in a few years, I'll do it again... Like 2025 or 2030 if I'm still alive.

so strange they cancelled it, it was nice to watch the toronto count down on tv back in the days oh well bureaucracy wins, oh and just a correction, i believe they bought City TV from Moses Znaimer who was Chum LTD not Bell Globemedia. Bell Globe Media or whatever its called bought CP24 instead

Globemedia bought all of the Chum assets but the CRTC ruled they had to divest some of it. So they sold CityTV to Rogers.

And it’s been circling the drain ever since...
