What happened to Fairywill toothbrushes?

This brand was all the rage for an affordable alternate to Sonicare. There was even a Yahoo article on how this brand has "de-throned" Philips and Oral-B. Searching Amazon for replacement heads and not a single listing. No toothbrushes, no replacement heads... it's like the brand just disappeared from both amazon.ca and amazon.com

The fairywill.com website is still alive... anyone have any insight?

Just a stab in the dark here, but did you bother contacting Fairywill to ask them?

Amazon has started to purge brands that incentivize good reviews.
Wouldn't surprise me. They seem like the kind of brand where most articles about them are infomercials. I bought one of them and it's in no way comparable to Sonicare, even the lower end Sonicares. After about 6 months of use, it's about as good as a $10 battery operated toothbrush.

Interesting.

I bought a Fairywill teeth whitening pen at the beginning of June and now when I check the product page it just goes to a page not found. Looks like you are right and all their products were purged.

I just bought a macbook pro charger and in the box was a card that asked me to leave a good review, and if I did and sent them screenshots I'd get an $8 gift card.

I left one star for it being defective and even noted in my review that it's ridiculous I'm being asked to accept payment for leaving a positive review.

It makes the entire product review system pointless.

Report it to Amazon. It's against the rules and what they're trying to clamp down upon.

Will definitely do it

It's one thing to ask for a review but to offer payment for it is ridiculous. A good product doesn't need reviews to be paid for.

That's a shame. I have one of their toothbrushes, really good product, came with 7 replacement heads and on-par with the expensive stuff from Philips and a lot better than my old Oral-B electric.

I'm sure they were soliciting reviews, combining paid reviews with a good product is a recipe for taking the top spot on Amazon. They probably could have done well if they didn't bend the rules.

Amazon didn't GAS until they were finally called out for it in MSM. People have been complaining about it for years.

Definitely. And they'll probably let it fly again once the attention dies.

It's in their best interests to let these companies continue on the site because they bring in so many sales, even with their scummy sales practices.

Well now that it's out in the open the FTC has no choice but to pursue. It's false advertising.

Maybe one day somebody will do something about the money laundering and counterfeit items on Amazon.

I had no idea. Thanks for that. Shame as I've purchased both Taotronics and mpow in the past and been happy with both products.

Though I'm willing to lose access to those brands if it means increasing the accuracy and integrity of reviews. I do depend on reviews quite a bit when shopping online.
