What are some durable lightweight work boots?

Hey guys

I'm doing a lot of work around the house this year. What are some lightweight work shoes? Don't need steel toe, just something durable and light.

If you don't need steel toes, buy a cheap pair of runners from Walmart etc if they are just to get dirty?

Hi,

Light weight work boots are never comfortable to wear or durable. Have a look at Dr. Scholl's boots. Or steel toed sneakers or oxford style shoes. Walmart has a limited selection of Dr. Scholl's casual work shoes. Otherwise, it's going to be Mark's or an independent work wear store. If there is a chance you'll step on long sharp pointy objects, consider getting shoes with puncture resistant soles.

If don’t need steel toes, I just like to wear a pair of old running shoes.

I have a pair of CSA steel toe Air Walk runners. So comfortable they were my daily drivers for work and weekends for over a year. Wish I could find another pair.

I wear a pair of Merrell Jungle Mocs (purchased from Marks) with composite toe. I’m always in and out when I’m working around the house and it’s nice to slip these shoes on and off without having to re-tie them each time.

My son needed a pair of safety boots for a job last summer and the guys at the store highly recommended a pair of Timberland low cut boots for how light they were but also because they had an aluminum composite tow. These boots were light as a feather...surprisingly so. They wear well and cost on average $150 at most places.
