What used car if Toyota / Lexus / Scion didn't exist?

I know the beloved beige Corolla is king, but what is another used car that is comparable for reliability?

When given enough time, all threads on RFD can and will go off on a tangent.

If Japanese vehicles didn't exist I'd probably just have to walk places, because reliability.

Honda and Acura are really good. I like Honda's cars as they seem less boring and ugly compared to Toyota.

And dodge reliant K was the pinnacle of the 80s. How could a car named reliant not be the most reliable thing since Corolla?!?!?!?

Wow great find. Too bad its only exclusive in the United States. Its a great bargain as its selling far cheaper than a similarily equipped Corolla would go for (which is identially the same car). The same could also be said for Pontiac Vibe.
