What would be the best 55inch sub 500$ tv?

Pay a little more and get a Hisense H8F/H8809. The H8G is starting to become available in US (75" listed on Best Lie US), but seems like it's mostly the same with minor improvements. You should start seeing the 55H8809 go for $550 or less (typical reg. price is $600 rn) in the near future.

I wouldn't buy a Q7809 or Q8809 when the H8809 is significantly better and not much more money.

Best Buy also has the TCL 55R613 for $600 right now as well. It had been cheaper before but that was BD sale, so this is about as cheap as you'll see on that set right now I think.

I would honestly stretch your budget another $50-100 as you'll get a much better TV at that price point. This is considering it's a main TV at least. If it's a spare room, bedroom, kid's room, etc. TV then you might not really care much. In that case just get either the TCL 4 or Hisense H7 and save the money.

Thanks i think i will wait for a deal on the TCL6 or the Hisense H8F. I am trying to find the best bang for the buck so i understand that 600$ is not a lot more for a far better tv.
