There's a cool spreadsheet on this forum with all the prices. Sorry I don't have a link

If you can pick up the Vizio M65-D0 on Boxing Day for $1,499, I would say it is a good deal. I bought mine on BF from Costco for $1,599. It regularly sells for $1,999. There is also a decent Sony that sells for $899, but its only 60 inch.

Which Sony - and will it be marked down for Boxing Day, do you think?

I'm in the same boat as you and I think I am about to give up and get that Haier from Costco.

The reasoning is: for my budget (under 1500), I don't think I'll be able to find a 4K Full HDR TV from a reputable brand so I might as well go for the most basic 4k TV, use it for 2 years maybe, and by then 4k HDR will be mainstream and there will be more content. Your needs may be different as I am not a heavy TV user and I only occasionally play video games.

Why would you need a true HDR TV for video games?

PS4 Pro and XBox One S both support HDR.

Gotcha! Well, I won't be upgrading from my PS4 any time soon.

I'm still hoping to find the Sony 65" X750D for $1499.
