But to be honest the more I read the rtings.com scores the more I wonder if the difference between sets is that big as the numbers make it seem to be?
true. my other choice in my budget would be the 60" m series, but i feel some might argue size over a little bit better quality in this price range

It shows currently $1299, seems like a great deal...

I must have overlooked. I did launch the URL from dell.ca. Well, the dell site is really tricky.

I have narrowed down my search to 3 TVs:

Hisense 65" HG Series 4K UHD Smart Television - $1100
Vizio M65-D0 - $1400
LG 65UH5500 - $1300

I will only be using the TV for sports/videos/shows so NO gaming. Any suggestions?

I'd go for the Vizio. It appears to be better in almost all ways over the other two.

For your purposes, probably the Hisense would be sufficient. But to rank, IMO

1. Vizio
2. Hisense
3. LG

I would say yes because I bought one lol. But if you watch lots of fast action sports and won't be putting this in a dark room it's going to serve you real well. One of the few native 120HZ panels on a 65" in this price range. The other being a Vizio.

Check the review on rtings. It is one of the TVs they recommend in this price range.

Costco hisense 65" $750. $1500 is enough for two.
