What's the best gas reward system for car washes?

I've been trying Esso and Petro and based on my experience, Petro sucks !

What gas station do you go for free car washes?

Esso
1 point for every $1 spent filling up

Petro: 10 points for every liter

Example
Carwashes

Esso: 499 points

Petro: 10,000 points

I hear people swear by Petro

Esso looks like the far better deal on math alone.

I find quality of PC carwash way better than that for Esso though.

I am currently with PC and it really is such a pain in earning points. They do give free points (ranging from 500-1000) here and there online through email if you are a member.

For people living in Alberta, go for Co-Op gas, it usually gives you about 2% cash back in grocery coupons. Also their car wash is waaay better than Esso, it has more washing cycles + hot water. Esso washes in half the time. Today after an Esso car "wash" I still had ice built up around the windows. This never happens at Co-op. Plus no ethanol in Co-op premium gas.

I believe Esso is a better rewards program if you redeem for car washes.

Then what do you redeem in PC that makes their program better?

Just made a thread about this before searching lol

Math says esso beats petro for car washes. What about Shell?

I don't think they offer car washes, then again shell you'd need an air miles card

I'd throw Canadian Tire into the mix. A lot of the car wash places have upgraded their technology

I love using the Canadian Tire Car Washes. I usually use Glide or Simoniz Car Wash stations. They seem to do the job to clean the car!
Good luck!

I tried both and ended up sticking with esso. I use my points only on car washes so that is what I based my decision on. I ONLY do touchless car washes so esso has majority of those where as petro has alot of the touch/brush ones. Also, alot of the petro washes have rails on them which takes you through the wash but since my car is lowered, that would be a nightmare. Esso is just drive in, complete the wash and drive out.
