Looking for a reasonably priced android tablet. There are too many options to consider. What's the best value right now?

If security updates are important, then consider a Chromebook tablet that have up to 7 years of updates depending on model vs 2 or less years of updates with an Android tablet.

I made the switch from Android tablets to a Lenovo Duet tablet and a Lenovo 10e tablet last year. Both have support until Jun 2028.

My phones are all still Android, with 3 years of support ending this year, but I haven't found any issues using both ecosystems.

I agree. Having owned many tablets in the past, including one of the first Android tablets, I was in the market again for something newer a little over a year ago. After a brief look at the offerings, I started turning my attention towards Chromebooks, and in particular, the ones that also had a touch screen.

I ended up with an Acer 311 spin Chromebook and couldn't be happier. It's been able to do anything I throw at it, 10 tabs open at a time, Netflix, email, etc. I can use it like a tablet, laptop, or both. I picked it up for a little over $200 while equivalent Samsung tablets were hundreds of dollars more.

Tablets will always have their place, but as phone screen sizes have been getting larger over the years, IMO I see little point in getting a 7-inch tablet. The next step up is in the 10" or above range and at that point, one should give a Chromebook some serious thought.
