What's the status of VOLTE currently in Canada?

What's the status of VOLTE currently in Canada?

Currently on Costco-bought LG G8X with Speakout and it seems that this phone is not whitelisted by rogers and thus not accepting VOLTE.

Wonder what future do we 3rd party phone user would face once 3G is sunset in 2025.... does that mean us 3rd party phone user will no longer make phone calls as long as Robbers implemention VOLTE whitelisting?

The Big 3 has already begun refarming rural 2G/3G bands for 4G/5G since 2021.

I would not purchase a new phone today if it does not support VoLTE and VoWiFi in Canada.

The Big 3 will be exactly like AT&T USA today in a few years where only whitelisted phones will work in Canada.

My Xiaomi backup phones bought a few years ago has both VoLTE and VoWifi working on all carriers.
Check forums specific to your phone and take what you read from the uninformed with a grain of salt.
