What's your favourite muffuletta spread?

I've only tried the spicy one Farm Boy, it's soooooo good!

Are there other brands that you guys recommend? Thought I'd try something new.

Etobicoke
If you are ever in South Etobicoke, try San Remo Bakery. They make killer muffuletta sandwiches as well.

Edit: I read it as bread, not spread, lol. San Remo makes the bread. Not sure about spread.

Out of store and name brands, Longos brand...way better than Aurora or Molisana. Never had farm boy yet although I almost pulled the trigger last time but then I'm buying Italian meats, etc.

I'm going to get the longo's one and will report back which one I think is better. The spicy one at Farm Boy is always sold out every time I've gone to get it.

I tasted the Longo's and Farm Boy's side by side and thought were pretty much the same. I put some on a grilled veggie open-faced sandwich with homemade hummus and provolone on rosemary focaccia - today's lunch.

How spicy is spicy? I usually buy the non spicy because I have spicy stuff in the fridge like pickled jalapenos, harissa, hot cherry peppers etc. Safer for spice challenged ppl.

Gonna try the Longo's one since you find they're pretty much the same.

Longo's Original and Farm Boy's Spicy seems comparable to me , maybe FB is slightly spicier. I eat pretty spicy food so for me it's perfect but for some it may way too hot (others may be not enough).I've never tasted the mild.

Where do you get the giardiniera from? Store bought or make your own?

Also, please post pics of the finished product.

Around here it is easiest to find at the discount stores like Freshco or Food Basics. Mixes, eggplants, mushrooms, etc.
