When can I change winter tires back to the summer once?

I understand that you can when it is warm and above +7C, but...
Insurance gives a discount when you have a winter tires, so the question is following: if you claim for this discount, when can you go back to summer tires?
Is there a specific date?

If your worried about the insurance implications of it, ask your insurance company?

One or a few days of having winter tires with warm weather is fine.

I get it, but if something happens, insurance can decline a claim in case winter tires were removed too soon.

Some insurance companies have crazy dates before you can remove the winter tires (April 15 or even April 30). Call your insurance co.

In Calgary, you are not really safe until May long.

Yes, location would play a big factor in it too.

If you only want to change to summer once, you'll have to move somewhere warm like Texas, Arizona, Florida. That way you'll not need to switch back again. Note however you will still need to change tyres when they wear out.

Probably this coming weekend, if time permits.

Should have done it on Sunday when the weather was nice though, but busy doing other things.

If you're receiving insurance discount check if they have a date associated. You have to call them.

Still too soon if you rely on it to get to work. We've had snow in April, does no one remember? I'd rather wear my winters a bit extra than risk an accident. Winters are cheaper than summers anyway.
