-Sales (in-store unadvertised) week starts on Mondays.
-Regional promos (the coupon pamphlet) typically start Mondays however the current one goes until August 2nd.

Title: their vs. there
Tis banana is IRIE 😎

10% off is cold, 50% off is warm, 75% off is hot, but FREE IS RFD!

This

RFD has 2 Ongoing Megathreads for Costco ... one EAST and one WEST
They are updated each Monday
And tell what’s NEW in the Warehouse, or what’s on Promotion

Costco East = costco-costco-east-brossard-candiac-jul ... 0-2386175/
Costco West = costco-west-bc-ab-mb-sk-july-20-26-166-2390814/

Additionally the Costco.ca website has info for other Sales & Deals

IN THE WAREHOUSE
Lists the current “coupons” for what’s on promo
The current cycle runs June 29th to August 2nd
The majority of these deals are warehouse only (as the title suggests)
A few however will say on the offer ... BUY NOW ONLINE
Be aware though ... online pricing can be slightly different / higher
And there can be delivery surcharges as well

FYI ... they call them “coupons” ... but nothing is required
Price is auto adjusted @ the cash

Also on the website ...
THIS WEEK’S TREASURE HUNT
HOT BUYS
and GOING, GOING, GONE

These typically are items on Promotion or Clearance
So timeframes & quantities are limited
(As are sizes or colours etc )

Cuz Costco rotates so much thru their warehouses so quickly
In regards to turnover ... esp Seasonal Merchandise
They clear out a lot of stragglers this way
Making room for even more products on their notoriously SHORT PRODUCT LIST

Personally, we get into the warehouse about once a month (every 3 to 6 weeks)
Following those IN THE WAREHOUSE cycles

The rest of the time ...
We check in on the website at least once a week to browse the other online offers
See what’s on promo / clearance

I also try to look at the RFD Ongoing Costco MegaThread once a week so I can actually see pics of what’s newly arrived
If I see something I truly like I either check out its online price (find how different from instore)
Or just add the item to my upcoming Costco shopping list

Also ... Warehouse tip
Anything ending in .97
Means this is gonna be Costco’s lowest price on that item
And any price signage that shows an Asterisk *
Means this is the END of this item in the Warehouse
There will be no resupply coming

All this info is invaluable in being a SMART Costco Shopper
Combined with knowing your per unit / by volume pricing
You’ll be able to figure out what is and isn’t a deal at Costco

And buy accordingly ... so you actually have a Costco Shopping Plan / Strategy that makes sense to save money
And aren’t overwhelmed by the Warehouse
And make too many spontaneous purchases

EDIT / ADD - Also I see the IN THE WAREHOUSE deals have been posted on RFD HOT DEALS for the next cycle starting August 3rd, here’s the link to those

If I recall:

I believe .88 or .00 ending is manager's special. It's unique to that warehouse because the location manager decided they just want it cleared out asap. It's likely means it's a clear out and won't be reordered, or it's a test item. You see this price, it's probably the lowest it will go.

.97 is a manufacturer's (bulk) sale or it's end of season. They are selling it at discount. If it's end of season (not bulk buy) and it doesn't move fast enough, they'll drop the price again. If I recall my math, they start with 33% off their original retail, then it's 50% after a couple of weeks if it hasn't sold off, and if it's still hanging around after that, 67% as their last push to get rid of it.

.99 is regular price.

Any other ending is a mark-down or special buy.

* is going going gone! Bye bye, you won't see it again.

Thanks for posting all these links in RFD... I am actually confused, have tried to use the "East thread" for quite some time since I live in Ontario, do those pictures in QC for sales apply to us here in Ont? Or is it site specific since it's weekly and I need to wait for posts from Ontario and hopefully they post somethings relevant to our warehouse...

Thanks for explaining the regional monthly flyer as well, didn't realize that either (I thought that was the ONLY sale and then the one offs I see in store whenever I go are just one-offs since they don't give out those flyers as you enter the store anymore)... (FWIW, I was amongst the ones who also wrote Costco on limiting online to members only - that was around march or april right? (my memory fails me LOL), been a while since I posted re: Costco warehouse things -- I only go once a month these days and stock up the SUV with monthly worth of stock LOL)

Keep safe Pointshubby!
