When is a Good date to book a ticket to Africa for DECEMBER 2022

Unlimited changes with Aeroplan until Mar 31st, and then one free change thereafter. If the price drops, then you can just fudge with your booking.

Or you can just book a flexible ticket too just in case, and cancel at any time if you see a lower fare.

Africa has more than one airport. It’s a continent how do you expect any advice with such a poorly thought out question. You don’t even mention where your flying from.

3-6 months in advance you'll find the best possible deals. Anything over 6 months is what I'd call "retail price".
This is based on my own travel history with up to 20 flights per year.

Sure it does, what star alliance member you choose will change things. Only one non stop flight to Africa from Canada and it’s on Ethiopian. Regardless you think his original post is a logical one?

Aeroplan availability changes close to the date I changed my flight a week before take off with better airlines connections. And better business class cabin. It used to be booking 6 months out would help but that has all changed.

What if op is going to “Africa” at one of those “African airports” not served by star alliance.
