When is the ideal time to buy winter tires?

Last time I bought winter tires was end of February which was not ideal time. No discounts or rebates.

So when is it time to buy? October? November?

I need some Blizzak WS90s.

Could one do better than Costco’s $70 gift card on the set of 4?

Most manufacturers rebates start on October 15th. Mid October is a good time to buy.

I just hope they don't bump up the prices to account for the rebates.

Almost everywhere will do price matching. Find the lowest price for the blizzaks then take it to your favorite tire shop to price match.

The rebates are paid by the tire manufacturer. The shop makes the same amount of money either way.

GTEH!
Usually October.

However I got lucky and last August 2019 CT was clearing out some Winter Tires and it was discounted 40% off. A rare sale.

If you're buying used, right around now when people are clearing out their garages.

If you're buying new then when the rebates come out, otherwise stock is limited.

Costco still has the $70 off for Michelin, BFGoodrich (shown only at checkout), and Bridgestone tires... You might wanna wait for the $0.01 installation promotion if it comes up again...

The best deal I got was when I ordered winters at the end of Sept or very beginning of Oct for an early bird discount. That being said grab the hakkapeliitta r3 winter tires they are better.

Rebates happen in the early spring. All of them ended in May.
