When is Jollibee opening in Vancouver

I saw pictures online since last year of a Jollibee store in downtown Vancouver in Granville st. Supposedly opening soon. But after 1 year, I still have not heard any news. Anyone in downtown Vancouver can verify if that store is still there ?
Also I think whoever thought of opening a Jollibee store in downtown Vancouver does not have a good common sense
1. expensive rental
2. no parking for customers
3. that picture of the store is really so small. I dont think it can take that many people.
4. Majority of Filipinos are located towards Surrey, Tri-cities etc

Walk by this place frequently. Doesn’t seem to have any activity.

I did have some beers at a bar close by and met some contractors doing work inside jolly bee but they would have been probably 3-4 months ago.

While there is certainly a Philipines community in Vancouver. (They have baseball in tagalog!). I suspect many don’t live downtown as I don’t usually see many. Without stereotyping I suspect many work in the hospitality/hotel industry, which has of course been slowed down by lack of tourists. No cruise ships really impacts things.

Nothings changed on the outside. I think last year they had some signs saying hiring. It’s a tiny location so I’m sure they’ll be a huge line. Personally not too excited about sweet spaghetti. Didn’t eat there I’m Philipines so not sure why I would now but I’d try their chicken

Vancouver’s very first Jollibee restaurant is set to open. Angela Bower talks to members of the Filipino community about which dishes they're most looking forward to ordering when the restaurant opens.
