Where to buy Denon AVR

Looking at purchasing S660H.
I currently have an AVR2112CI and am looking for 4K; only 5.1 needed.
When I purchased the AVR2112CI new I was able to talk the salesman down on the price.
Is there anywhere to go that is flexible on MSRP (Southern Ontario (KW Area if possible))?
Shoot me a PM if needed.
Thanks.

I got my Denon X3600H @ G&G Electronics in Scarborough.

Flexible? Probably depends how much you are looking to spend. I think the retail was $1399.99 when I got it and I got it from them for $999.99

AVRs are absolutely insane in pricing right now. I would avoid if possible. Prices are literally double what they were 2-3 years ago.

S660H doesn't look to pricey at "only" $650 but I'm guessing this class of AVR would have been like $299 in previous years? Sorry I don't keep up on Denon receiver lines.

Yeah, I hadn't looked since I bought my current one in 2012... I was blown away by how much there were now...
I'd also possibly be interested in the S760H...

Bestbuy on sale? I bought a SH-750 for $600-700. Best of all the Polk speaker set as on sale not for just half price ($300) but the promotion of buy an AVR or amplifier and get $300 off the speakers. Ended up selling the Sony i bought a year earlier for the same price I paid, + the speakers which bought the Denon AVR down to ~$350-400 or less.

Is there a reason they're so expensive right now (chip shortage)? I was looking at a replacement receiver yesterday for my aging Yamaha and couldn't believe the prices I was seeing. Very basic models which I would have expected to cost $300ish were instead $500+

I'm going to "tough" it out with my Yamaha for a few more years but am curious why the pricing is what it is.
