i'm not sure what you're asking... are you saying you just want to buy the bread/bun when you go to Subway?

Possibly with cheese and condiments only? Maybe toasted?

If it's just the bread, why bother with Subway. Just go to a bakery.

Veggie and cheese, hold the veggie.

If it’s the bread, most grocery stores sell sub buns.

OP said "is there a way to buy just the sandwiches instead of meat/ veggies" so veggies are not wanted, too.

OP is an adult with a kid and doesn't know what the definition of a sandwich is.

Subway has a variety of breads to choose from, not just the usual basic sub bun.
That being said, it still doesn't rule out the local bakery, unless the child wants a restaurant environment when eating?
(ie won't eat at home)

Just order "veggie delight on white bread... hold all the veggies... and don't even bother cutting or toasting it... thanks... just bag it up for me..."

Then pay $5 for a roll you could have gotten at any bakery for under $2.

Since I rarely go to subway to eat. We visited the store when we went out and my kid likes it. Sorry for the interpretation.

You can't just buy the bread from Subway. I've seen other customers try. Subway is missing out here.

Subway bread is nothing special, just go to any grocery store bakery and you will find better buns.

Regardless of how much your kid likes the bread, do your child a favor, and give the kid/introduce them to good quality bread. I’m not even taking about specialty bakeries. Even grocery store bread.

Subway bread is not bread. Don’t go out of your way to feed children stuff like that. This is the time to shape their taste buds.

Subway is passable if you add a bunch of veggies and cheese. But, without any veggies and cheese, their bread is surprisingly unhealthy. Filled with preservatives, dough conditioners and etc.

Why go out of your way to feed children garbage?

I agree with everything, but I think the kid Just likes the texture of the bun. Subway buns are extremely soft..even the crust is a lot softer than grocery store and most bakery bins.

As to regardless to Subway, yes their bread has additives to it to give it that texture that makes it essentially junk food.

Does your daughter eat their sliced bread sandwiches like watermelons?

OP, perhaps, like many parents might do for their kids...make sandwiches with white sliced bread and cut away the crust.

Some grocery stores will sell Sub bread in a clear packaging labelled under the Dempsters brand but it's not anything close. The other buns you are referring to are italian buns which are round (not long) and they are not light and airy. I don't quite think you know what you're talking about so please stop giving people and the OP false hope.

Sub buns aka Hoagie buns are not a common staple in our society hence why you can't just find these type anywhere other than a sub shop.

YEah the kid probably likes them because their fluffy and sweet. Thats typical of the America style submarine sandwich.
Once in a while I'll see the long submarine bread at the grocery store... but rarely. ITs the fluffly white bread kind.
