Have both been discontinued long ago

Best you could hope for is a resale or a refurbished one

Even iPad 8th Generation (2020) has been discontinued by Apple
Since introducing iPad 9th Generation in September 2021

Tech is like cars
It’s depreciates quickly
Always something new coming down the assembly line

Although I am a big proponent of holding onto tech until it’s virtually obsolete
I am also of the belief that when you do buy …
You should just bite the bullet and buy the newest edition so it has the greatest hope for longevity & being relevant / useful for years to come

These days … if it’s not bought direct from Apple
