Where can I get my mouse estimate cost of fixing?

Got an Lenovo mouse for about $80 or something. Not working around 1 year. forgot it was before 1 year. guess I didn't realize it didn't work or the 1 year warranty thing. anyway, months down the road I remember my credit card has 1 more year extended warranty. but I was told by my credit card company I need to get an estimate for the mouse. I tried 2 shops and was told they don't fix mouse.

so basically the extended 1 year is useless coz I couldn't get an estimate? any idea?

Does Lenovo have a price to fix it outside warranty? Just guessing here, but if Lenovo says they can't fix it and recommends you buy a new one, and the local shops say that too, perhaps you can bring that info the the insurance provider and they'll authorize replacement?

call up Lenovo and record the call and ask them for the cost? Or go to their forums point blank ask them if they work for lenovo and ask for cost. Either of these methods will get you the proof you need.

One time, I was using my credit card's extended warranty for a cheap vacuum cleaner (about $99). They first said I would need to get an estimate and gave me a fax number (it was a long time ago) to send in my documentation, receipt, etc. while I was looking for a vacuum repair place so they could start the claim. After I sent it in, they responded that they would just reimburse me for the entire thing and I wouldn't need to get an estimate.

So they definitely have leeway whether to force you to get an estimate or not, especially if the full cost of the item isn't much different from the cheapest possible repair. I would call them again and tell them about two official Lenovo repair places telling you that they don't repair mice and mention the relatively low price of the mouse they'll likely just pay you out.
