where to find a responsible reno contractor?

when i came to reno my house, i was crossing my fingers.

too many contractors in market.
all said with exp. and give you free quote.
some contractor work w/many projects and hire few workers as they want to save more profit.
resulting long finish date or unable to finish upon agreed date.

luckily i was blessed, this team worked everyday in my house exp. sunday of course.

one good job to mention, they opened a mini stair for sep, bsmt entrance. with was fantastic idea and cool result.

hope this thread to help you to save money and time.

Surprisingly I have connected with a lot of great contractors on instagram. Many of them have established reputations and have employed the same crew for many years and showcase their work almost daily on IG. Majority of these contractors follow/network with each other on there. Home stars is a hit or miss I found and kijiji very few good contractors but if you get lucky, you'll find a great one that does inexpensive quality work but just doesn't have the marketing/business experience to get their company found elsewhere.

I always love seeing the home shows as they are scheduled around the shooting schedule of the camera crew so its a very tight build. I guess any of us could get the same results if we had pools of money to have 12 different subs in at the same time :)

Nobody has mentioned Trusted Pros yet. It's a good place to find a local contractor and the Trusted Pros review screening process is very thorough.

She PM me the information. If you want, I can PM it you you. I have to research it to see if there are other positive references.

Quick search on Google, it shows that maybe at some point the contractor worked at Don Valley Lexus? You need to use google translate page to translate it to English.

Trusted Pros is far more credible than Homestars yes but the best references are word of mouth.
