Hi can anyone suggest where to get a Note 3 repaired for LCD + digitizer replacement and how much should I be paying? Thanks!

Its around $300cnd (not sure exactly) for a full Replacement using Samsung Parts - http://www.cellphonerepair.com/etobicoke-on/
I work part-time there and we are a Samsung authorized repair location so by doing it with us you would retain any warranty you may currently have.

Shop around. You'll be replacing the frame and LCD together. You can get it done much cheaper. Kijiji

You could order the parts online and do it at home on the couch with a repair guide in one hand and a beer in the other. I suggest to complete at least 60% of the repair before you start drinking heavily or your phone may not get back to one piece though.

Interesting..Just called them their website says: Broken Glass – $85 SALE!!! (20 minutes repair time, comes with new glass, frame, digitizer, and LCD)

But he said if you need a new LCD it doesnt include this for $85? Huh?

Did you tell him that his website says $85 and it includes LCD in the list?

Yea no way it could include the LCD for that price.

If its a broken glass they will replace the Glass only usually. WHen you replace the full combo it comes with a new glass/frame/lcd etc

However is it a refurb part? Is it a non OEM Samsung part etc? By the price it probably is not OEM Samsung.

Yeah he said something that didn't make sense at all...

yea, that's been there for a long time now.

regardless, the note 3 i got fixed worked perfectly fine. did some very non-scientific tests like multi-touch, looked for dead pixels, min/max brightness comparisons.

I decided against paying $300+tax to get an OEM replacement since you can get a 10/10 note 3 off kijiji for around $450.

there are also a few places on Yonge St (downtown) that will do it for $240, the drive up to Markham may not be worth $40.

$200 cash for glass, digitizer, and frame.
Does it look any different from the original or can use specify that they use Samsung oem screens and digitizers? I'm interested because I have an s3 with a smashed screen and lcd that doesn't turn on.

i cant confirm if they're OEM parts (i'd probably guess no). I can't find any noticeable difference between this and the original, I've compared it against another note 3.

Thanks for the reply. I see that koodo has dropped the price of the s3 to $150 so I will forget about repairing the screen unless I can find someone selling a working lcd and digitizer for a decent price.
