Whirlpool Refrigerator door handle not installed properly from the factory

Hello
Just purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from Costco.

After the delivery team left, I have to remove the doors to relieved as per the manual. After 1+ hour in leveling this is as good as I can get it.

I then realized that even if the doors are levelled, the handles will never be levelled as they are not installed at the same spot at both doors. See pic.

Another weird issue I am experiencing is is when I am flushing the toilet. Sometimes I can hear a buzzing noise from the refrigerator which last for 5 seconds. The water and ice machine works fine but I assume it's somehow related to this. I never had this issue with my previous refrigerator. Thoughts?

You might be able to loosen the handles and adjust then retighten the fastener to have them line up to each other better.

Maybe the one door handle isn't pushed down all the way like in this video.

Lol, that's terrible. Call up the retailer, demand satisfaction.

I bought a GE range that had a crooked bottom drawer track, Lowes told me to contact the manufacturer. GE/Camco sent over some guy that tried to bend it back into shape. That didn't work, called again and they sent over another guy that said it looked fine and tightened some screws. Finally, I called up GE and just asked for replacement drawer guides and I'll put them on myself, they agreed and finally the drawer opens/closes smoothly and flush.

My FIL had this issue with a Whirlpool side by side years ago. Was told “Its normal” within 1/4”. Good luck.

just remove the handles and re-install them, usually installers do not care about the small fine details they just want to install the handles quickly and get the hell out of there and move to the next job, its not like the good old days where people put more TLC into their work.

Did you not see this when they brought the fridge in? If you did, why did you let them leave?

Call up Costco or the manufacturer and ask them to correct this.

why should he? he can do it himself, they did it for him as a good will gesture, but the home owner should learn how to adjust the handles not costco delivery men

They've already spent an hour plus and they still can't get it right. Maybe it's not as easy as we all think. I've personally never had to do this.

Is it goodwill that the delivery team put the doors back on? I thought this is part of the delivery and setup. In my case they put the door and handles back on.

It's actually part of their job to install the handles. It's even on Costco's website under what to expect during delivery.

Your doors are also not aligned. You need to adjust those as well. Should be in the directions so you can move them up and down. I realize when you pay to get stuff installed, but get the majority done, get the heavy work done. A handle adjustment is something a homeowner can do with a allen wrench

Quick update for all and some clarifications.

The handles come pre-installed on the doors. Therefore I cant blame the Costco Delivery people for this. However, they didn't level the feet resulting in the doors not being aligned and way off. Not a big deal as I'm handy and took care of that. Its not perfect but good enough.

Regarding the Door "Handle", I did loosen the screws on the side of the door handle to attempt adjusting. They don't adjust up and down, they are non-adjustable. I did end up swapping the left and right side door handle and rotated them upside down and it seems to have helped. Not perfect but better and good enough.
Perhaps the door handles are not machined perfectly?

In the end, the issue is not me, its the manufacture and their poor machining, quality of work.

Costco did offer to send a replacement fridge, lol. but that is just too much work for so little and no guarantees it will be perfect so Ill prob just keep this one.

Your pictures show your one door is higher than the other. Adjust that first so they are level to each other. Its a set screw adjustment on the bottom right hinge

Everyone here is getting too heated. All need to take a chill pill, lol.

Anyhow, all good feedback and responses and I appreciate you all taking the time to respond.

Bottom line is yes I know my door isn't levelled. I made some adjustments to improve it.
Bottom right of the right door does not have adjustments. I put in a 1/8 Allen wrench as per the manual and there is nothing to adjust. I took the entire door off and confirm there's no alignment screw. (Yes the manual says there is an alignment screw). Not sure if Costco delivery guys didn't put it back when the reinstalled the doors.

My concern was poor machining. The ruler and pics are clear.
