Who pays your tuition?

I just thought it would be interesting to see the breakdown here of who pays what, or how much help you get. Who is the burden of tuition on?

Anopther thought - if you are paying your own tuition, are you working full time to afford it, or did you take time off to save up?

I myself work full time while in school, and always have since early highschool to save up.

I basically work during the summer and take on oddjobs during the year to offset what my parents have to pay (tuition + residence in Toronto = expensive).

i believe it should be okay for parental assistances for the first couple of terms, but you should really be responsible for your own tuition to the best of your abilities, even if it means only coming up with a portion of it. Nobody should be expecting a free ride from parents, especially when you need to start being fiscally responsible for your own future.

there should be no such thing as a bail out for one's own financial stupidity either during school or afterwards.

All the fish at online poker rooms.

I've never worked a day in my life and I've already paid for my first two years+ of university.

Are your parents employees? I know a few people who get in free thanks to their parents employment. Also, some get it due to their Indian status.

Being a supernerd, both my undergrad and grad degrees are funded by scholarships, mostly from NSERC and DND (Dept. of National Defense... I used to be an Air Cadet)

So, I might have signed the cheques, but really, it was the nice ppl of canada that paid :cheesygri
