The driver of the black car tried to do an unsafe lane change into the lane occupied by the red truck. Further, they lost control of their vehicle without actually being hit by anything (as far as I could tell). So double whammy on them.

Black car. Even if the truck driver was an ass for accelerating after being passed. Being an ass isn't illegal.

Red truck driver is a douche. Black car driver needs to shoulder check.

Legally, insurance wise, etc, it's the scion's fault. Unsafe lane change.

However, the pickup truck driver could not allow his ego to be bruised though. This SHOULD be taken into consideration.
Imagine if he would have allowed the Scion to pass. Much ridicule. Great laughter. So hurt.

Pickup truck driver is an asshole... the black car shouldn't be overtaking from the right. Red pickup shouldn't be accelerating while being overtaken. Also, why is he driving in the left lane if he's slow?
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Scion driver is at fault. He tried to undertake the truck and failed to check his blind spot while doing so. The Scion over-corrected and lost control of his vehicle. If you're going to pass, you need to do it safely. The truck was a jerk though. His aggressiveness helped escalate the situation but from a liability standpoint it's the Scion that lost control of his vehicle. The only person who has any right to be mad is the SUV driver who was collateral damage in an accident caused by two complete idiots.

Did you guys notice the 4 way flasher seemed to be on but flickering funny like a short or something.

That truck driver is a dick.

I wonder why the black car wanted in that left lane. The centre lane he was in was clear and you cant tell if he is planning on turning left ahead or not.

This is a perfect example of why you shouldn't drive in the left lane unless you're passing on the highway. It causes people to do crappy unsafe maneuvers like this. Even though the car is at fault there, if I were the police I would ticket the truck as well. In lots of jurisdictions they already do this if you're caught camping in the left lane.

Firstly, hoping that everyone that got hit in that accident is OK.

Clearly the pick up truck displayed a fine condition of SPS and got b*tt hurt when the black car tried to overtake from right and engaged in road rage. Yes, the black car was also wrong in performing an unsafe overtake.

So IMO both of the parties should be charged for causing the accident.

Reason he wanted back in the left lane? Just to be an ass and show that the lane is his. It's typical behaviour for the road ragers.

I see this daily on the 404 some dick wad left lane hogging so you try and undertake them and they speed up, and they proceed to slow back down again.

To answer your question, I think black car at fault, Red truck = a hole. But could possible get a ticket for riding the left hand lane if it applies there.

The driver of the red truck didn't even stop. Or at least I don't see it from the video. He/she's a jerk for sure.

In the end, it's the black cars fault for lane changing when it was unsafe to do so. The driver should have recognized that even though she passed the red truck there was not that much room to lane change back. So, she should have waited and possibly lane changed back behind the red truck.

Is it me or did the black car not signal when lane changing back to the left lane? It looked like the black car had the hazard lights on.

I believe it's the LED taillights that causes the flickering on cam because LED rapidly pulses to make it look like it's a constant light but the cam is able to capture the on and off. It will look normal in real life.

Yup. LEDs flicker when recorded on cam. Also irrespective of the questionable behaviour of pickup, the sedan tried to switch back to left lane a bit too soon. There was never enough gap.

Redneck in a pickup displaying road rage. Possibly an earlier altercation between the Dodge and Scion. Scion assumed the idiot would let him in the left lane. Scion's mistake was that he assumed and did not check the blind spot. The Dodge sped up and cut the Scion off from making a safe left lane change. The fact that this was done on purpose and intentional by the Dodge makes him more guilty than the Scion driver. The fact that the Dodge driver was instrumental in the accident and did not stop and took off makes him a lot more guilty. Hope he gets some jail.

Fault assignment: Dodge : Scion

It would be nice if we could see 5 minutes before to see if their was any other interaction between the 2 vehicles.

That's interesting i never knew that. Silly question would both lights flicker with the left turn signal on or did the black car have his 4 ways on?

Scion is at fault

Truck driver is the typical small penised, left lane bandit you see every day
