So no. Given the prices of everything used car that is remotely interesting.

I'll buy all the deals my heart desires when people start selling them off in 07-08 situation. I bought a 13 year old gas guzzling SUV in 2017 for $9000 and have put 75000kms on it since. I checked Kijiji this weekend, and comparable condition, mileage, year listings are asking $18-24k. Ridiculous.

Also, I don't have crypto, RE, and my stock portfolio didn't do so well with Covid. So yeah, rich are getting richer, and poors like me are getting poorer.
Yea? Curious as to which model? I'm still looking around which I haven't in awhile and not sure of the trends. I also have a later 2000s Rav4 which I bought used4 years ago so very common so prob not as much in demand. Maybe more ppl are towing stuff and want the bigger one.

I sold my E90 M3 last May and wish I just let it sit on my driveway for another year. I sold it for under market value. I could have probably got another $10k for it.

I bought a 996 C4S in 2019. Probably could easily get an additional $10-15k for it today in the exact same condition it was when I bought it.

The used "fun" car market is nuts especially under $20k. I've been contemplating putting my ND Miata up for sale because of demand...

Lexus LX
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/oak ... 1560033709 This one below is fair bit older than mine but around the same mileage. Lol, if my SUV got totalled, no way insurance is paying me $20k. They would give me $6-7k tops, and thats the value they priced my premiums at too. $6-7k is book value on these things, trade in would be $4-5k. Its an absolutely ridiculous market right now. Had it been 2-3 years ago, these things were under $8k all day long and if asked $20k for one, you'd be laughed at.

I'm so tempted by a 996 Turbo, back when 911's weren't too fat. I don't mind the lights, as long as they're clear, not yellow. But the new ones are sooooo much faster, lol.
If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

So I may have bought a S2000 LOL! I remember I trash talked this car before, but it sucks not having a manual car to drive. My Porsche is nice, but I need the itch to row gears.

Some dealers on youtube are saying they can make good enough money by selling cars back at auction rather than making the effort to sell to customers. One more nail in the coffin, looks like it will be years before the market corrects itself.

By then the shift to electric could make more of a negative impact as well.

Nostalgia is hitting me hard right now. Was pissed when my neighbor's visitor told me he just traded in a 1 owner no mod S2K to the dealer for $19K.

This pandemic is triggering nostalgia in everyone right now.

$19k??? He got fleeced. LOL. Our dealers here are selling bad condition ones for $35k+ and they're being bought.

There was a clean 32k km 2007 s2000 in a small town listed for $35k. Guy got 100+ offers. Wouldn't tell me who it went to and how much, but most likely going to a dealer.

Yup I don't get the hype for the S2000, but it does have one of the best manual transmissions! My father may be able to buy back his AP1 that has just over 100k on it now for under $20k. Told him to not even think about it and just buy it!!!

Enjoy!

That sounds like a civc under 4000rpm and no power till 6k LOL
There was a reason why these cars had so many owners in the early years. I've had plenty of seat time, like I said fantastic transmission and handling was great. The power plant though... Just like the love for the Integra Type R, my brother recently picked one up and for that kind of money I just don't get it. Also had some seat time with these back in the day since I had a couple of friends that owned them and even they don't understand the hype now LOL
