Why internet in AB/BC so expensive?
Looks like in Ontario/Quebec, you can get 1G speed with less than 40$/mo, e.g. cogeco-gigabit-1000d-30up-33-m-discount ... h-2420375/

Less population density means the fixed expense is spread among fewer customers. That means for a company to make the same profit targets, they need to charge more.
