Why is trim so expensive?
$6 foot fir door jamb at home Depot. Can you buy this stuff in bulk to get better price?

It is sort of true, home depot is very expensive for some reason on the cheap fiber board baseboard mouldings
Those small independent flooring stores that import themselves usually have nice 5 inch wood baseboard for $6 for the whole 6 or 8 foot length.

To me a pine door jamb should be $6 each not $6 foot. Same goes for all the other trim. The OP is on to something.

Maybe look at Habitat for Humanity? I found most of my high quality trim at Habitat, sand it slightly, measure and cut, paint and done. Most of it is $0.50/foot.

Clearly a dual account situation and forgot to log into the one to agree with themselves.
Depot is expensive for trim in general. Lowes have the exact same stuff (same brand when it comes to plastic trim) for less and often put it on sale for 15% off then have a buy more save more where you can get it 30% off.
We buy trim from some place in Stoney creek.
