Will this affect my insurance claim?

My dealer said my new CRV winter tires is 235–65-17 but I am using my old CRV winter tires which are 225-65-17. They said insurance could deny my insurance claim because I am not using Honda factory reccomnded sizes

Anyone can chime in?

Although I don't have any insurance backround... It sounds like you are giving your insurance company a reason to deny your claim. I would look for the fineprint in your contract. Does it say winter tires or factory recommended winter tires.

Having the correct tire size on your vehicle is a safety requirement for the MTO.
