Will New AirBNB rules tank Toronto rent prices?

Lol bud there is a pandemic and hundreds of thousands of professionals are work from home temporarily. Attributing this all to airbnb is completely ignorant.

How do you list an AirBnB property if you have to be the primary owner? As far as I understand that would wipe out a majority of the AirBnB units and they might be posting under market rent rates temporarily to cover the losses. That would scare other units into price matching to get fills.

The students are a big deal, but if you're a long term renter I think you could stay firm on rent prices and take a few months loss (works out on your tax report).
