I always use roam mobility and I'm actually heading to Florida right now myself. I have no complaints about roam

Is Roam good if you go to the US 2 or 3 times a year, and stay for a 3-4 weeks each time? Have just been purchasing prepaid sims, but sometimes I let them expire and I'd like to keep the same number.

Also, what network does Roam use in the US? We had very bad experiences using Tmobile in the area we stay. AT&T works well.

if you have Rogers, roam like home is IMO a slightly more expensive but much easier solution

There are pre-loaded sim cards available on ebay if you have an amerifriend you'll be meeting. I used Simple mobile last month - $2 for 1 month of unlimited talk/text/1GB data. it uses T-Mobile

Reception is a little on the weak side...quite often inside stores you'll get no signal.

i've been using T Mobile for the past year...$3 a day for unlimited everything, but they throttle after the first 200MB (which is not a big deal)

Make sure you have the correct band for their network. I wasn't able to get LTE on my BB - only 4G. Otherwise, I believe their network is t-mobile and I had no problems.

What kind of Blackberry do you have? I had LTE on my Z10 no problem. Z10/Q10/Z30/Passport/Classic all should get LTE without issue.

Just purchased SIM card. Not sure Per day plan is charged right after activation or first time use? Or should I do the activation once I am in states?
