Win 10 Never Authenticate

So I am interested to test out a bunch of VirtaulBox instances.

1. Have heard that if you install Win 10 and never authenticate, the OS keeps working with updates. Is that for real?
2. Have also heard Windows provides OS installs for virtualization but is this only for their own environment and not VirtualBox?

1) yes you will get windows updates even if you don't activate. Only cosmetic items are disabled if you don't active, ie changing the wallpaper.
2) if you install 1903 you will get windows sandbox, otherwise just install hyper-v instead of virtual box.
