windshield replacement (though insurance) in the GTA

Any suggestions on where to get my windshield replaced around Toronto please?

Its a Land Rover with heated front shield which has a non repairable crack in my line of vision. My insurance deductable is $500 so it makes sense to go through that rather than paying for it myself

any suggestions for places which will do OEM replacement via my insurance (cooperators) please? I've never done a claim before

Use a land rover dealer. Tell them you're going thru ins before they do it. They should get confirmation from cooperators before you sign off for them to start.

Even if they order the glass through the OEM parts supply, most dealers outsource their glass work to a local installer anyways, which is really the most important part of the job - so personally I'd find one you can be confident with and pick them yourself.

I can also vouch for @mer1ion / Auto Glass Worx but there are other options out there.

Yeah I would not go to a stealer for love or money. They shouldn't be touching a car after sale. I mean in this case they probably aren't because they are likely outsourcing it as you say, but then they're taking on a big markup which is just paying them $$$ for nothing.

 And that right there is the attitude that gives insurance companies the inch they need to do a mile in rate increases on everyone.

Also regardless of cost I wouldn't trust a dealer to touch the car, because if they somehow are the ones replacing it, they're probably gonna mess up your car.
