[Winners] Apple Accessories at Winners [YMMV]

Been to a few Winners locations and noticed they started stocking various Apple accessories.

  • Apple Watch Sport Bands and Sport Loops (40, 44mm) for $24.99, retails at $59
  • USB-C to Lightning Cable (1m) for $14.99, retails at $25
  • 18W Power Adapter with USB-C port for $16.99, and no longer available by Apple? But sold out at Staples for $39.99

iPhone 12 mini and up require at least 20W for fast charging.

There might be accessories that I've missed because YMMV, but it's worth looking at if you're into getting Apple accessories for less than retail.

Best Buy also has some Apple sport bands on sale, but for $5 more than Winners.

Images attached are the products that I've come across.

I haven't tried Marshall's yet, but they might have some too.

This is where I got my modern buckle! Albeit it did say series 5 on the packaging but the fit is universal across all series.
I probably didn’t need it but bought it anyway

Yes! I saw quite a few pairs in size small, but had to pass because I knew they wouldn't fit... I didn't get to take a photo of those (Winners in Shoppers World, Brampton).

Apple replaced the 18W power adapter with the 20W power adapter then the iPhone 12 was released

"For maximum charging speeds with the ‌MagSafe‌ Charger and an ‌iPhone 12‌ or 12 Pro, Apple's 20W power adapter is required"

The worst part about this is that the iPhone 13 takes more then 20W as it max charging power...

Only the 13 Pro Max takes up to 27W.....the 13 Pro and 13 is still capped at 20W.

If you have magsafe, the 20W adapter will give you the 15W Magsafe charging, but apparently if you use the 18W, Magsafe will drop down to 12.5W (at 5W buffer is needed)

Apple does it often, they ship 30w charger with M1 MBA when it supports 45w charging. I relegated that charger to charge my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Initially HomePod mini wouldn’t support any power adapter except Apple’s 20w, not even their own 18w lol, they had to update it’s firmware.

If you aren't using Magsafe, the 18W adapter fast charges the iPhone 99.9% as fast as the 20W one, there have been people who tested it.
