Wire-free Outdoor Camera

I would like to ask for recommendations on products that offers continuous 24hr recording on sd card same as what my wyze v3 has. Not necessary on sd card storage as long as i can playback it. The issue is my wyze v3 is not battery powered(i have no access to electrical outlet) and the wyze outdoor cam doesn't offer continuous playback. I am looking to buy another outdoor cam that offers these features. I don't think Eufy and Arlo has this feature. I could be wrong. I'm not sure with Reolink or Lorex as well. Thank you very much to your replies in advance. Any suggestion or advise is greatly appreciated.

Update:
I'm no longer looking for 24/7 recording cause i realized it probably didn't exist.
Any suggestions for wire-free battery powered, no subscriptions and when Internet is down, the cameras would save the motion videos to the SD card until the motion is gone.

I think you need to think about setting up power for 24 hour recording - the reason battery cams don't provide 24 hour and only record on motion is because 24h recording is a huge strain on the battery. The closest solution you'll find is perhaps to install a solar panel with battery to provide power, but even that is not reliable.

I guess you're right those camera probably doesn't exist.
I will edit my question then on the first post.

I wished for such a camera a while ago but found out it didn't exist. The closest that came to it was something called Blink, I think, but it recorded only to the cloud, needed subscription and permanent connection to the internet via some hub, I think. There were no hacks for it to make it record locally.

So, nothing like this exists. I don't understand why. Even some existing cameras like Amcrest etc. could be modified (by the manufacturer) to run off lithium batteries. Maybe they draw too much power...

My Eufy 2C cams with HomeBase can do that as I saw when my ISP was down for 4 days. Keep it on a UPS and it would probably work during power outages as well. I've had them 6 months and now I think I would not buy these again.

They only save video's when there is motion they detect & alert (you can configure to save with no alerts) to and setting them up can be tricky. With a cam that faced the road and sidewalk at the end of our driveway, I had to tape over the portion of the PIR motion sensor that "sees" the sidewalk and road to stop the cam alerting on vehicles going by after dark, and routine people walking by during the day. Took me about a month to tweak and fine tune to the point that I have the cams rarely putting out false alerts. One issue is that after dark all the "human" and "pet" filtering done by the AI is disabled. After dark if it sees motion in its' area of coverage you get an alert - car headlights, hot engines and exhaust, people walking down the sidewalk all trigger the PIR sensor.

I think some false alerts are where a "human" was spotted but went out of range of the cam before the recording started. 80%+ of the recorded videos do have a person in them. People have to be fairly close to the cameras to get a reasonably clear video. The recorded video quality is clear enough to tell which one of the neighbors dogs is crapping on your lawn or if was a Fedex or UPS courier that dropped a parcel.

For the price I paid I'm satisified with the video part and notifications solution Eufy provides but now I'm into my 3rd or 4th recharge cycle on the batteries for some of the high traffic cams and I'm not happy with what I'm seeing. The length of operating time seems to be shortening somewhat dramatically to the point that I'm going to be calling Eufy to figure out what is going on. These batteries are claimed to be able to go 6 months. The only one that is getting near that is the cam in the backyard which has a lot less traffic and that is maybe going to get 4 months in it's second charge cycle. The front door cam lasted 3 weeks in its' last charge cycle. I have to climb a ladder to get to that cam so it is a PITA if this is going to happen every month. Either their batteries are crap and now are showing their weakness or something in the software/detection setup is using much more battery than it was when new.

There is a solar panel option that is not too expensive so I might look at that.

The Eufy HomeBase has 16G internal storage which I've found plentiful for supporting 3 cams. Anything interesting I download to my phone after review and then save to my PC or online storage.

If I had to do it again I'd probably go with 4K cams PoE (power over Ethernet) cams that stream to a NAS device.

Your idea has a flaw, your ideas are too complex and require a lot of power.

If you want all these features you need a dedicated power source.

I have Blink and you don't need to record to the cloud as you can use a USB stick with the HUB. It comes with a free trial subscription for cloud storage but once that is over you can use local storage on your USB stick.

The newest Blink Camera comes with USB connection. The older model does not. The Blink camera uses lithium batteries that is supposed to last 2 years.
Have a nice day!

Get Blink 2. It comes with USB connection for local storage that you can use when free cloud storage ends. Lithium batteries are supposed to last 2 years. However there is no continuous recording as it will only record when there is motion. There are no battery operated cameras that will record continuous 24 hour because the battery batteries will run out. You need a hard wired camera to do 24 hr recording.
Have a nice day!

Beware of winter and overactive motion trigger like another poster said. Poe with NAS is the gold standard and set it and forget it.
