Wireless internet

I am moving into the country and originally planned to get xplornet but they only offer their satellite internet in my area which is...garbage.

I have already pre-ordered starlink but it currently states end of 2022 before I'm likely to receive it.

I have called bell(which made me throwup in my mouth) and they have nothing at my address either.

Does anyone know of any other providers that may be decent or other people have experience with? I am looking in Ontario north of Barrie.

Since you are ruling out satellite internet (which can be garbage since you still need a dial up line to send your data) your only real option will be an LTE package IF you live close enough to a cell tower AND can limit your downloads as I have yet to see an unlimited LTE package.

Did Bell say your only option was copper? Did they mention LTE?

They actually said they have NO service at my location which is odd since they old people that own it currently have a home phone (but no internet).

They said they will send a tech out to see what is possible so that may end up being my only option.

Both bHell and Robbers have "rural" offerings that are based on cellular data. Check their websites for details and pricing.

Assuming they offer this in your area I'd assume it's more reliable and cheaper than satellite.

P.S. If you do get satellite you may also want to get [Fido] 4GB LTE Data Plan $10, BYOD, no contract (Read OP & Thread Summary 1st) as a backup for if/when satellite service goes down. It's even possible to get 4GB with a free tablet for $5/month if you commit to 24 months. Details in that thread.
