You can see the basic, not fully detailed menu for yourself. How good the dishes are or the buffet overall is literally a matter of personal taste.

Good for $12.99. Stick to the hard to mess up dishes and/or try things before committing to larger servings.

I went before, it's been $12.99 for a while.

The pictures in the Google Maps listing match what I had in Dec 2018; 6 hot table items, 2 soups, 1 roasted meat blob (that was dry), 1 veggie lasagna, a "made to order" pasta area, large salad bar with deli meats I'm not sophisticated enough to understand, and a large dessert selection. $12.99 is worth it, at $17.99 regular price not so much. Hot food selection is a little limited, but for the price whatever. Quality ranges from meh to better than I expected.

The hardest part was getting the member's reward card, my companion didn't bring his ID couldn't get in and I had to wait in line for maybe half an hour to get it because it was peak time...
One of the reviews on GMaps lists them for you:

whaaaat? do the lineups extend to the front door, they have too if ur waiting that long
The line ups extend very far back. Anyone that has gone to Woodbine Casino can vouch for my claim. Like i said they are transitioning cards and everyone gonna line up. Also they have ballots and specials on Sundays and everyone goes in that line up in particular to claim their slot credits or food vouchers.

You just need to bring ur id to get the card. I.e. drivers license, passport, no health card and no more dumb questions!!!

casino Niagara is way further by bus or car. Hard to compare the two.

Depends on your location. For me it takes pretty much the same amount of time by transit (subway+bus) to get from Yonge/College to Woodbine (about 1.5hrs) AND it costs me $6.20 in Presto . From that same location the Safeway Tour bus to Niagara Falls takes me about 1.5 hours and is totally free for me (with my casino Gold card) . With the Safeway bus I also get free wifi and a much more comfortable ride with no transfers needed. The Safeway bus also gives you $10 free slot play (Mon-Fri) so that's another reason I prefer that vs trek to Woodbine.
Not only did we embarrass Marky Mark, we let down the Funky Bunch.

How much do you need to play to get a gold card? Too bad the poker room barely gives you any points.
If it's not free, it's too expensive...

Not going to recommend the buffet here (meanwhile, regularly eat at the buffet at Fallsview).

Usually just order from the menu, even on buffet promo days lol

Probably written somewhere but it's in the area of $2,000 IMO
