- WOW Mobile
There's another thread for Walmart but it gets convoluted looking for WOW Mobile info and some conflicting info.
I ended paying $78.40 in-store for my Galaxy S10 AND Received a $100 Mastercard Prepaid Credit Card gift for my upgrade.
$220 Current Medium Tab ($15/month * 24 $360) in-store price
-$100 Negotiated with Loyalty dept for $100 in-store hardware discount ($125 if buy from Koodo online)
-$50 The usual WOW trade-in credit of any junk phone with a valid IMEI/serial number somewhere (doesn't even have to power on)
= $70 plus taxes = $78.40 in BC
This is a Koodo promo: waived $35 connection fee.
WOW Mobile gave me a $100 Mastercard gift card.
Koodo Loyalty and the WOW Mobile rep (he tried to apply the code) confirmed that the rumored $10 credit for 15 months was not stackable with my $100 hardware credit, I opted to keep the up-front discount I got from Loyalty. Btw, I previously had a $75 credit but I called in today and they bumped me up without any fight when I asked if I could have more discount.
Churners need not apply, this is a decent deal for someone like me who had an "ancient" Galaxy S7 and who plans to stay with Koodo with my $60 12GB plan which stayed intact after the upgrade. Best part of the $50 trade-in they do at WOW, taxes calculated after the trade-in credit. Not sure how long WOW will do this, maybe Cyber Monday too?
