iPhone SE has more ram (2GB), faster processor (A9) and better rear camera (12 megapixels)

Chose iPhone SE unless you need the bigger screen in the iPhone 6

Anyone know what the tab payout is on small?

Do you need to do the 3x months of service before cancelling?

Referral credits?

Tab small: $120+$240

You may/may not get the gift card get clawed back. Best go to seasonal hold route if you want to be sure.

Referral credit is $25. You can ask any of RFD members for that.

Did this deal yesterday for the iPhone 6 at Hilcrest Mall using a self referral. Don't forget to change to AB number for tax savings.

I just called and they told me they are offering 50$ for any phone you bring...? And ONLY new activations. Not renewals!

I got the Iphone SE from WOW in Ontario (not sure about the exact cost for the iphone 6 as I didn't want it)
The SE is a newer phone and has better specs / better camera, but smaller phone than the Iphone 6
I don't need a big phone screen as it isn't that much bigger for me

So going with the Small Tab is what I did and to break it down as follows

The price of the phone for me is essentially $360 but split up as follows:
Upfront $120 - $50 instant credit = $70+ tax
The remaining balance of $240+ tax on small tab for 24 months which you can pay off I believe after 3 months

So total credits / deductions:
$200 Gift card they gave me in Prepaid credit cards on the spot
$25 Referral credit if you were referred by a Koodo member (PM me if you need one)
($50 cell phone Trade in already factored in the phone price above on the spot)

So phone cost is technically the $240 TAB + $70 (after the $50 Trade in credit) so $310 and add taxes = $350.30
Less $200 Gift card
So it is $150.30 after taxes

*You must get the Small Tab for a $120 upfront cost to get the instant $50 Trade in credit for your old phone (under Medium tab the phone will be $0 upfront and you will not get the Trade-in credit on the spot which is what I've been told at the booth)

I have not factored in plan costs yet.
Most basic plan is approx. $40/mo so x 3 = $120 or $135.6 after taxes approx

So total cost including plan is around $150.30 + $135.60 - $25 referral credit so about $261 will be approx total cost with taxes for the iphone SE 32gb
Yes you can do the hold thing so its even cheaper by $75+ tax. So for around $176 total you get new phone and UNLOCKED too!

Free unlocking after Dec 1st so my timing is good now after 3 months

Just an FYI my phone came unlocked. They put the sim into the phone in front of me at the mall.

Either I lucked out or some Koodo phones are coming unlocked so they don't get swamped at their call centre when Dec. 1st comes around.

I'm also looking for a pricing error before I purchase a new phone, or looking for a slightly better sale before jumping onboard.
If you really would like one of these, I would suggest the Iphone SE over the iphone 6 as the hardware the SE uses are more advanced.
The size is the main difference otherwise, slightly more futureproof with the SE phone over the iphone 6, it's components are similar to 6s...
Thank you RFD community for helping me with spending money, I feel so poor now!

? All iphones sold at carriers are unlocked until the first sim insert at which point, it will lock to that carrier. Have you tired using another SIM in that phone?
