If rootable, totally plausible. If not. No. LeTV won't have support for their phone very soon. This stock firmware is all you are going to get.

Unfortunately this model has no custom rom, and from quick searches it's not possible to unlock the boot loader. Shame, it's a really good price.

Then again if this was the price for an unlockable/rootable/custom ROM available version, I'd be kicking myself because I just got an X522 (LeEco Le S3) for a mere 38$ less.

But if it's stuck on EUI... yeah, it's a good price but EUI is pretty meh, and with zero future updates... well, it's still a decent deal if you can live with EUI but be aware you'll be stuck on Marshmallow forever.

(Though this is all moot since coupon seems to have been consumed entirely)

I have a Le Max 2 (X829) running Lineage OS and it's pretty sweet. I was running the stock EUI rom before with Arrow Launcher and experience wasn't too bad except for the App Drawer wasn't what i was used to.
