Is it just me or I see only $3.00 discount on "Cam Plus Anniversary 50% off one year"?
Also, I see $11.99 total price. is this USD or CAD? Don't think there is Canadian site.

Same for me, just seeing a measly $3 discount, and $6 off the two-for-one deal. I think it's all USD

They my 1 month subscription ended a month ago, they emailed me a code for another month free.

I didn't bother using it. Anyone I know if I can use that code first, and then buy a B1G1/50% off, starting from one month from now?

Can you elaborate on the “ mixed “ reviews? I just set this up at my sister in laws house and was going to do the half price subscription for her.

Me too. I thought I was doing something wrong. Regular subscription seems to be 20 in Canada…then I suppose tax ? So 22.60… maybe this is all in US funds?

Good deal but a few things of note:

The bad news:
  • This is US$ (at least it is for my account)
  • Their regular monthly price is $1.99/month/camera but if you sign up for the annual price it's discounted already at $14.99/year/camera (oddly it says $19.99 on the app, but you get the $14.99 through the website). This BOGO deal is $23.88/year/2 cameras. So it's really 20.3% off vs. the regular annual price.
The good news:
  • If you cancel any current subscription "You will be refunded for any remaining portion of your subscription." So what I did was cancel everything and then sign up again to grab the lower rate.

Yes it's USD

They're basing 50% off of $1.99/month, but their 1 year is usually $14.99 so only an extra 25c off per month or $3 a year

What major benefit from cam plus? Trying to justify. It can event record 12 sec for free and if you put an SD card you can continuously record to get the full footage

Even though I only had 1 cam, they only used to bill me $1.30/month, hence I never switched to annual. I guess it's a grandfathering or something? Or an accounting system issue.

Main use is if you're concerned that your camera will be stolen during a break in, then you might need the full recording in the cloud to see what else happened. Also if something happens in the cooldowns between events without Cam Plus, you might not even be aware that something happened. Less useful is the AI detection suite in my opinion, unless you're getting a lot of false positives with the basic motion detection.

Should one cancel subscription right after purchasing annual one, in case one forgets to do it after a year and get charged again?

I'm trying to get into the whole Wyze ecosystem and I'm not sure what's the best way to buy into it. Should you buy the camera from home depot or Amazon and get the membership using this discount from Wyze.com? What about the camera discounts you get from having a wyze Cam Plus membership? Any way to take advantage of that in Canada, if your only option is Home Depot or Amazon?

Did anyone also get an email about a limited time $9.99/mo. ($99/yr) unlimited plan for Cam Plus? Might be useful to those who have many Wyze cams installed.

That would be better. I kinda hate how Wyze is charging subscriptions. I mean i guess thats the way everyone is heading now, so it kinda sucks. But wI wouldn't mind paying like $100 a year for ALL my cameras. So stupid doing things piecemeal.
