This specific adapter is always $1.50 or so on AliExpress. It is Bluetooth 2.0 (I think) and only supports SBC audio. I guess it's better than an FM transmitter, leaving this adapter as the "second worst" way of connecting wirelessly for audio.

For quality of life you'd be better off getting a Bluetooth 5.0 adapter that supports APTX HD. Those are about $10-15 on ali.

I've got one of these and tried it out on my One+ phone (which sadly no longer has a headphone jack).

Terrible DAC. Poor battery life. Fine for voice, ok for games, terrible for music.

TL;DR: it sucks.

I got what looks to be an identical PrimeCables branded one for about $4 during one of their sales... battery life and performance is OK. First one I received actually stopped holding charge after a few weeks but PrimeCables replaced it no issues.

IMO I’ve tried these before. Complete garbage unless you need it for your car or will be right next to it. My 5 year~ old Aukey Bluetooth receiver blew these types away. Sure the newer one is $23~ now, but you get what you pay for.

This is not for your desktop PC looking for Bluetooth 4.0 or 5.0. Be aware.

This is just a rebranded Generic Ebay Bluetooth Adapter. I've had bad luck with this unit. It needs to be charged daily and the battery life is minimal. Also the bluetooth has a limited range and the phone has to be close in proximity for optimum sound. Instead spend a little bit more and buy a unit that is self powered by a DC adapter and connects to the phone with Bluetooth...and has a line out option so it can connect directly to the car's stereo.

Yes, they're available at the Downtown Toronto store location on Front St East.
Will post for info and then edit for clarity

I bought a few of these from ebay a few years ago for 99cents each if you don’t might the wait for delivery. There are even better kinds with clips on and smaller footprint

It's a transmitter, not a receiver, so yes in that case. The Bluetooth headphones are the receiver.

It literally says it’s a receiver.
Receiver has built-in microphone and can answer phone calls
So yes. It’s a receiver. It receives a Bluetooth signal and outputs it to speakers. Or a headset. Or anything that can RECEIVE a signal that’s plugged into it.

If you tried in this instance it would not work.
