YEG only: 30% rebate on e-bike, $600 off ev charger

It looks like YEG is finally getting on board with EV rebates/incentives found in other cities. You can get $750 or 30% rebate on any e-bike. Installing a qualified L2 charger can have a 50% rebate of up to $600.

So, it looks the list of qualifying chargers is the same as Quebec's Roulez vert program but YEG requires it to be a permanent installation. Some of the products listed like the $250 Amazing-e, the $3500 Porsche charger, and a few others are transportable while requirement #5 requires the charger to be a permanently installed unit...

Not bad.

Getting a 240V (50 Amp) outlet in the garage costs ~$250 all-in from a Master Electrician. This means that your net cost would then be $125.

It's really that simple.

Edmonton is a centre left city. Suburbs are more right wing.

So true. It could be upwards of $650 if the placement of the electrical box is far away.
