I got the 30% back deal yesterday. Snagged a pair of these, pretty happy with them. $380 + about $20 worth of groceries. 400k redeemed + $60 in tax, ~120k points back.

Should I wait until I get a 40% seems the best I got is 30% I’m not in a hurry to redeem also is it better to wait for Black Friday ? I think 30% deal is better than the usual they give the spend 500 get 100 back

I would wait if there is nothing you need yet. 40% is a better deal than Black Friday. I'm shocked. I first noticed a 40% offer in my account for March 31 but hadn't been aware or regularly checking my app on a daily basis before Fall 2020. I just got another one for yesterday and redeemed 420K points and surprisingly received one for tomorrow as well!

The cumulative % return with this 30% back offer is roughly 42.51% with 4 iterations.
This is:
slightly better than redeem 100,000 for $140 = 40% return, but
worse than redeem 200,000 for $250 = 50% return, and
worse than redeem 250,000 for $300 = 60% return
And way worse than the cumulative % return with the similar 40% back offer, which is roughly 64.96% return with 4 iterations.
If you are interested in spending points optimally, this offer is not great.
Quick calculations attached
