Deal Link:
Retailer:
YYWireless
There is ~$80 import fees that can be avoided if you have an american shipping address (These fees cover duties and everything)

even at $600 this is a great deal for a Snapdragon 855 phone with a 2k oled screen, 4k HDR video recording, arguably the best speaker on a phone, and a quad dac

They also have a like new V35 for $305 (PayPal charged me just over $350 shipped in total)

V40 now available for $360 shipped

Great deal for a great phone. LG is South Korean so no threat of it becoming a flacid Chinese phone. I owned a G4 for 2 years, sold it, bought a G6. I'm thinking it may be time to go G8!

But is the G8 much of an upgrade over the G7, especially the ThinQ ? ThinQ can be sourced off eBay for less than $400 if you looked hard enough.

Comparison: https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?& ... hone1=9540

G8 has SD855, bigger battery, 3rd lens (telephoto)

Edit: No telephoto lens in this version.

It's a LG so flacid and terrible buggy delayed updates to none at all is default.

$600 is way too much for any used LG phone, around $300 mark is where LG flagships is worth considering

Full disclosure, I was an owner of a G6 and G4 all bought at firesale prices about 1/3 of initial launch price

If you have a G7 there's not much reason to upgrade other than the oled screen

But you can say the same about almost every phone that is a 1 year upgrade

Technically used, but a great price.

Expect light scratches, slap on a BestBuy ClearPlex screen cover and walk tall.

Not bad, OP.

The G8 only has a telephoto lens overseas
Thanks for the clarification, might want to change the title as the deal is for the G8 not the G8s (different model) which confused me at first.

Just don't expect this phone to EVER EVER get updates, not even security updates. LG is piss poor at after sale support of their phone in this matter and frnaky they should be ashamed of themselves.

I seriously regret buying my G7 ThinQ, will likely not buy another LG for a long time.

My LG G4 and now G6 have operated flawlessly. No bootloops, BSODs, support issues whatsoever. I feel bad for anyone who has had a different experience. I definitely feel more comfortable with a Korean phone vs a Chinese phone when it comes to future support and updates. Why anyone would buy a PRC brand phone in this market boggles the mind. I'm certainly interested in a LG G8 at this price point.

At least the G7 looks like it is getting Lineage.. G8 no unlocked bootloader yet.
