[Amazon.ca] ZeroWater 6 Cup Pitcher $22.99 (54% off)

Just noticed that Amazon has this pitcher on sale. I can't justify $49.99 retail price, but $22.99 is a fair price for people who want to try ZeroWater.

I know people will complain about the filter price. I can only recommend to take advantage of Airmiles event, along with a 20% off coupon on BedBath&Beyond.

List price is overstated IMO, Walmart has the 7 cup pitcher for $27.96 as their regular price. So it's still a few dollars cheaper, but definitely not 50+% off.

ZeroWater 6 Cup Pitcher with Free Water Quality Meter BPA-Free NSF Certified to Reduce Lead and Other Heavy Metals

Special Price:$22.99
Regular Price: $49.99
Savings of -54%

Looks like it's overpriced at $49.99, but a hot deal at $22.99. +- $30 everywhere

6 CUP WATER FILTERING PITCHER: You'll always have cleaner, pure tasting water on hand with our BPA-Free, water filter pitcher in your fridge. The included, free water quality meter lets you test your water, so you never have to wonder about its quality.
FIVE STAGE WATER FILTRATION: Unlike many water filters & pitchers, ZeroWater filters use 5 stages of filtration, to bring you cleaner, better tasting water. Instead of carbon filtering only, our filters use Ion Exchange Technology to reduce contaminants.
NOT AN ORDINARY WATER FILTER: ZeroWater filters filter water in 5 stages, are NSF certified to reduce lead and other heavy metals. Zerowater removes 99.6% of total dissolved solids, 2X more than the leading brand (tested by independent lab).
GET MORE OUT OF YOUR WATER: Remove more impurities from your water with ZeroWater's unique, 5 stage filter system. With a variety of options, you can have cleaner water anywhere, from pitchers, bottle filtration systems, or portable on-the-go cup filters.
ZEROWATER QUALITY: Some ZeroWater filters are compatible with other brands of water pitchers. Try switching to ZeroWater if you have used water filters or pitchers from Brita, Pur, Aquagear, Nakii, Waterdrop, Kenmore, Berkey, Fridgidaire, or Aquasana.
The only water filter in its class that meets FDA definition for TDS in purified bottled water.

Amazon is becoming like Canadian Tire with the ridiculous regular price claims.

looks good but filters are $15? do they last a lot longer than brita

Also, is removing everything actually a good thing? because water has minerals and other solids but those can be beneficial. in fact lots of spring waters advertise that they have dissolved salts and minerals, which is the opposite

These work great, but the lifespan of these filters is very short. I have a 3 stage undersink filter that I use to fill a zerowater jug that has a "spent" filter in it & then use that to fill a jug in the fridge that has a filter that still gets below 6ppm. Once it gets above 6ppm, that filter gets cycled into the spent water jug. It's a process, but if I just threw tap water into a new Zerowater filter, it would be basically the same cost as buying RO water.

Brita doesn't filter against lead, this does. Removing everything isn't ideal, neither is drinking lead or arsenic or many other heavy metals...

Unless you live in a dump with old pipes from the early 1900s, lead in water is almost never going to be a concern pretty much in any metropolitan area in Canada.

Also if you live in a condo or apartment of any moderate height, there is guaranteed no lead pipes there either because lead is too soft of a material to handle the pressure required to pump water into the higher level units.

ZeroWater is hands down the best consumer filter in the market. Brita is trash.

This video has a pretty good review of many water filters on the market.

6-cup is so small. I have an 18-cup brita and I am constantly refilling it. I'd hate to think of how often you would need to refill this thing.

While I do not know about which brand has the best filters, I use the kirkland signature filters from Costco and they seem to work well enough.

What is used to measure PPM? What is the point in measuring non harmful mineral content if it can't measure toxic chemicals?

it all depends on your needs, and the room you have for this in the refrigerator.

I know. But I don't get the point of letting this sit at room temperature on the counter top and having chance of bacteria growth in the container if it sits there for a long time. I use my filtered water for drinking only, and like it cold ;) I also use it for coffee
