Zoom pricing for three way conferencing

Zoom if free or unlimited for one on one conferencing. If you add a third user the connection time is limited to 40 mins. Any idea if I can add one more user as a pay-as-you-go. On their website I only see monthly and annual pricing option.

Although apps like Zoom have taken off quite heavily in the personal/consumer market due to the pandemic, most of these are still aimed at business and education and are priced as such. It looks like $200/yr is the cheapest license and that allows up to 100 participants.

If you need smaller numbers and aren't tied to Zoom, I just use Google Meet or Facebook Messenger calling for smaller groups and personal calls.

Would you mind sharing just a few that don’t involve Facebook (or its poster child Whatsapp)?

FaceTime, Signal, Skype, Discord, Slack.

There are literally hundreds & hundreds of options. Not hard to set one up for personal use either on a 5$/mo server

Do any of these work like Zoom where you can send a link to someone and they can click and start chatting?
